A composition album, also a live album, by three experimental / improvisation musicians based in Tokyo. Composed by percussionist/artist Hiroyuki Ura. Recorded in legend venue Ftarri.
“Duration, Dynamics and Pitch” is a piece based on these elements of sound or music, while “Calm, Hearts and Passionate” is a piece based on mutiple table.
Hiroyuki Ura
Born 1984.
Lives and works in Tokyo.
Mainly plays drums, keyboards, compose and record.
Also exhibits of (sound) installations, performances with sculptors, film artists, dancers, and organized show for musicians from overseas.
Sound installation “Presence” was selected at “The 11th Gunma Biennale for Young Artists”.
Yuma Takeshita
Born in Osaka in 1982,
Yuma Takeshita started playing experimental / improvised music around 2001.
After moving to Tokyo in 2011 he began constructing his own instruments by modifying an electronic-bass guitar with different sound modules and machines.
Yuji Ishihara
Born 1986 in Osaka, Yuji Ishihara is a drummer, percussionist and improviser. In 2006, Ishihara’s desire to play freely led him to form The Freeform Improvising Group Featuring Tutan The Khamuns which played widely in the Kansai area. More recently, his focus is on developing an idiosyncratic style on the drum kit exploring techniques around ideas of scratching, hitting, rolling, and repelling. While actively supporting various bands and musicians, he also releases his own solo and leader projects.
这是一张现场录音专辑，同时也是一张作曲集。收录了浦裕幸的两首作品，同时他也是三位乐手之一。竹下勇馬、石原雄治、浦裕幸三位乐手都是80后，他们在当下东京实验/即兴场景里活跃。
三位乐手有着不同的音乐方向。竹下勇馬是一位自制乐器的探索者，他自己做了一种非常疯狂的乐器：为电贝司上附着有齿轮机械与声音模块，以此对电贝司进行驱动；石原雄治是一位技巧高超的鼓手，非常有爆发力的演奏，日式自由爵士/自由即兴的新一代传人；浦裕幸也是一位鼓手，同时他也有很多非常清晰、非常概念化的作曲作品，并有很多的展览项目。
这张专辑的两首作品，一首是围绕“时长、动态、音高”三个声音/音乐元素的作曲；另一首是根据九九乘法表而成的作品。录制于东京声响派新音乐的聚集地 Ftarri。在自由即兴/电子原声即兴几十年发展之后几近穷途末路之时，日本的年轻同行们已经开始在探索新的方向了。
